Our orthopaedic surgeons treat problems with bones, joints, muscles, tendons and nerves, helping you move without pain again. Many procedures are done through keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery, which means smaller cuts and a faster recovery.
Keyhole knee surgery A small camera is placed in the knee through tiny cuts to find and repair problems such as torn cartilage.
Keyhole shoulder surgery A small camera is used to examine and repair the shoulder joint, including the rotator cuff tendons.
Keyhole ankle surgery Loose pieces of cartilage and inflamed tissue are cleaned out of the ankle joint to reduce pain and improve movement.
Relieving pressure on a wrist nerve The tight ligament in the wrist is released to take pressure off the nerve, easing numbness, tingling and pain in the hand.
Freeing a locking finger Releases a tight tendon sheath so that a finger that catches or locks in a bent position can move smoothly again.
Removing a lump on the wrist, hand or foot A fluid-filled lump that is painful or limits movement is removed.
Correcting a bunion Removes the bony bump at the base of the big toe and straightens the toe to reduce pain.
Treating pain in the ball of the foot A thickened, painful nerve between the toes is removed.
Fixing a torn tendon A cut or torn tendon, often in the hand, is stitched back together to restore movement.
Fixing broken bones Broken bones in the hand or wrist are put back in place and held with pins, screws or plates.
Removing metalwork Metal used to fix a broken bone is removed once the bone has healed.
Treating a swollen joint cushion A swollen or infected fluid sac near a joint, such as the knee or elbow, is removed.
Repairing toe problems Corrects broken or deformed toes, such as hammer toes.
